Facebook clone using React, Google authentication and Firebase

This week I created a facebook clone using React and Firebase. It was really nice to actually use React, which was invented by Facebook, to actually clone Facebook. You can see the app here and the GitHub repo here.

In order to use the app, when you visit the website, you will see a login page. I used Google authentication so you will be prompted to log in with your Google account.

Once logged in, you will notice that your profile picture from Google pops up at various places. You can also add a new post with an optional image url. It will be added in the feed and to the Firebase database, like this post from Muhammed Kurel created on Saturday August the 21st. See below screenshots on how it looks like in the Firebase database.

On the right of the page, you can notice a real time iframe imported from Facebook. It is a really easy and cool add-on that I added using this code:

Then it needs to be imported in the App.js file

Please visit the website, add a new post and feedbacks are more than welcome! In the future, I would like to add as many functionalities as possible in order to make it look as close as Facebook as possible.
